What's Star Zone Productions? Star Zone Productions is name for a group of Finnish students. Star Zone Productions main aim is to make intresting videos and films with young people. Some of our videos have already been internationally broadcasted. We apologize that our English site very limited.

Some facts about Star Zone Productions:

- Star Zone Productions is an independent group of three Finnish students.

- We make different kinds of videos with a long experience (since 1996).

- We are located in the city of Turku in Finland, Europe.

- We use PAL-system on our videos, which is the common system in Europe. All our videos (from 2000) are done digitally and edited with PC, so our films are in digital format.

- We have produced demo-videos and videos about schools and companies. Since 2006 many projects have been tranfered to our new company Mediatalo Lisko, www.mediatalolisko.fi

- Making videos is a great hobby to all members in Star Zone.

Our movies:

Syysilma

Between years 2000-2001 we produced a movie called "Syysilma" (duration: 89 min). It was Finland's biggest movie project (year 2001) not made by professionals. We had over 40 actors in our movie and almost all of them were under 16 years old. Movie was made in co-operation with, for example, the Police Department of Turku, the Finnish Civil Aviation Administration and McDonald's. The movie has over 45 scenes and they were shot in over 20 locations in city of Turku. Parts of “Syysilma” have been seen on the Finnish TV (YLE and TurkuTV). The movie was shot with Sony DCR-TRV210E.

The movie is a story of two boys (Alex and William) who want to try something new, but everything doesn’t work as they have planed. William also meets a girl and falls in love. He has to make difficult decisions and think what he really wants to do with his life.

Kell' onni on

Movie "Kell onni on" (something like "Who has the luck", duration 51 min) is a movie about a lonely boy (Henrik) who wants to live his life normally, but it is impossible. He saves three young people to an island. They all must survive from the island alive, but it isn't easy.  Movie was shot in ten days in the beautiful archipelago of southern Finland on the summer of 2002. Movie got its premiere in November 2002. There were 12 young people making this movie in co-operation with, for example, the fire department of Turku and the city of Turku.

Vapaapudotus

Vapaapudotus (translation: Free fall) is our latest film (duration 88 min). There were over 95 people and over 35 companies in co-operation making the movie. It was in 2003 the biggest movie project made by volunteers in Finland. Over 550 people attended premiere in the biggest movie theatre in Turku. Premiere: September 2005, Turku Finland. We still sell DVD copies of the movie for about 20 EUR + shipping. Directed by Arimo Leppa. Producers: Arimo Leppa and Jarno Satopaa
